Flitwick Gardeners Association

Spring Show 2006

The Saturday afternoon of the show was warm and fine in contrast to the cold and wet of the week that preceded it. The weather did not seem to have caused problems to the 24 exhibitors and their 85 exhibits, giving a splendid display in the village hall and making this the most successful Spring show since 1993.

It was especially good to have 9 entries in the children’s bulb competition. Their entries were all of excellent quality and we hope they will continue to be interested in gardening and enter our shows again in the future.

The new classes in the show did not appear to give anyone problems, except the person filling in the entry cards – me! - and most of the classes had a good number of entries. The overall standard of exhibits was very high but this should not deter members from entering any future shows, and it would nice to see the hall even more awash with colour.

And last but not least the Children's bulb competition. Well done to all of you!
