A really warm weekend with daffodils and tulips in the garden in flower, and for a change it's the weekend of the show. I spend Saturday morning trying to remember everything that's needed before helping Kath to find things to put in the show. By 2:00pm the judge has arrived and all 12 tables in the hall are full of flowers - 120 entries in total which is 50% up on last year and by far the highest ever. Judging is not easy as there are so many really good blooms.
Not only were there tulips and daffodils but some wonderful Hyacinths and vases of spring flowering plants and shrubs. The children also created some cleverly decorated hardboiled eggs, as well as a couple of them entering in the vase of spring flowers class.
