Flitwick Gardeners Association

Summer Show 2007

What a wonderful sight the village hall was when all the members had set out their exhibits! We had the highest number of exhibits for 10 years all of which were of the highest quality, entered by 47 exhibitors – the second highest number in 10 years.

It was particularly pleasing to see the number of excellent entries in the children’s classes with some incredible fruit and vegetable animals and some very appetising jam tarts and decorated biscuits.

It was also good to see so many entries in the novice vegetable classes and it was quite obvious from the quality of these entries that “novice” only means that you haven’t won an FGA show class before as the vegetables were every bit as good as those in the rest of the show.

The flowers formed a wonderful backdrop and the home cooking, handicrafts and photography were a pleasure to behold.

Thanks to everyone who made it such a good day and I would personally like to thank all judges and helpers who made it run so smoothly.
